Little Earth

The islets of Petite-Terre are an atoll off the coast of Grande-Terre, classified as a nature reserve in 1998. This paradise is made up of two small islets which share the same lagoon: Terre-de-bas and Terre-de-haut which is completely closed to visitors. Only the guardians of the reserve are authorized to stay there.

You will discover its forbidden landscapes from the sky, and with a little luck, you will see, in addition to the great plant variety, many animal species, such as the Little Tern, a protected species.

The islets can only accommodate a limited number of visitors daily, with a boat crossing booked in advance. Equipped with fins, they mingle in the lagoon with turtles and all kinds of colorful fish among magnificent corals. You will fly over them to the coral reef, the border between this place teeming with marine life and the deep waters.

Desirade

La Désirade is the first land sighted, 21 days after leaving the Canary Islands , by Christopher Columbus and his sailors during his second voyage, in 1493. The island owes its name to the relief of the crew members seeing the first dry land since their departure from the Canary Islands. So they cried out: “Oh, so desired island…”. Seen from above, it is just as beautiful and desirable. You will admire its coasts before returning to Grande Terre.
